Hello everyone and welcome to my business website!
My name is Steve Eitner. I am a Licensed Onsite Soil Evaluator working in the Western Piedmont and Blue Ridge of Virginia. My career began in 2002 evaluating soils for a small soil consulting firm in Rocky Mount, Virginia and in 2014 I started my own company, Eitner Environmental, Inc.
I have extensive experience conducting site and soil permeability studies for onsite wastewater disposal systems. The soils and geology I'm most familiar with lie in and around the greater Roanoke Valley and Smith Mountain Lake area. I have worked for over 18 years in the counties of Franklin, Bedford, Henry, Patrick, Pittsylvania, Floyd, Roanoke and Botetourt gaining respect, knowledge and appreciation for the diversity of the area.
The vast majority of the work I do is related to well and septic permitting and certification. "Perking" land as it has become known, now consists of a detailed soil and site evaluation to delineate well and septic locations for residential or commercial applications. My areas of expertise range from single family conventional systems to more complex alternative systems including mass drainfields and decentralized systems. Please feel free to submit any questions or comments.
Thank You,
Steve Eitner
